The Evidence Problem in Family Law
Without Family Evidence
Scattered Evidence
Photos in camera rolls, texts across devices, documents in folders. When you need evidence, it's everywhere.
Admissibility Questions
Will the court accept this? Was it timestamped properly? Is the chain of custody clear?
Last-Minute Scramble
Clients forwarding screenshots at 11pm before hearing. No organization, no verification.
With Family Evidence
One Secure Location
All evidence captured, hashed, and stored in one court-ready platform.
Built-In Compliance
FRE 901/902 standards baked in. SHA-256 hashing, NTP timestamps, immutable logs.

Contact our team →Standard cloud storage treats your evidence as regular files. Family Evidence creates a legally defensible chain of custody from the moment of capture. Every file receives a SHA-256 cryptographic hash, RFC 3161 timestamp from a trusted authority, and immutable audit logs of every access. This documentation is what courts require under FRE 901/902 and the proposed Rule 707. Dropbox can't testify that a file hasn't been altered — our hash certificates can.
You'll already be compliant. Rule 707 codifies what we've built from day one: evidence authentication, AI detection capabilities, and chain of custody documentation. While other firms scramble to find compliant solutions, your evidence management workflow won't need to change at all.
Absolutely. Clients download our app, snap photos or screenshots, and hit upload. We handle all the cryptographic hashing, timestamping, and custody logging automatically. They just document what's happening — we make it court-ready.
Yes. Family Evidence is fully HIPAA compliant with AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, and comprehensive audit logging. We sign BAAs with all subscribers who handle protected health information.
Family Evidence complements your existing practice management tools — it doesn't replace them. We focus exclusively on evidence authentication and chain of custody, which Clio and MyCase weren't designed to provide. Think of us as your evidence vault that integrates with your workflow.
Standard retention is 7 years with AWS S3 Object Lock ensuring immutability. Enterprise plans offer extended retention options. You can export and download your evidence at any time in court-ready format with all authentication documentation.
Our evidence authentication has been admitted in family courts across California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, and 15 other states. The SHA-256 hashing and RFC 3161 timestamps we use are the same standards accepted in federal courts under FRE 901(b)(9) for process or system authentication.
While no system is immune to attacks, we employ defense-in-depth security: AES-256 encryption, SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure, and AWS GovCloud options. Even in the unlikely event of unauthorized access, your evidence files are encrypted and inaccessible. We've had zero security breaches since launch.
