Agreement to terms
By accessing or using Family Evidence ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
Description of service
Family Evidence is a cloud-based evidence management platform designed for family law attorneys and their clients. The Service provides:
- Secure evidence upload and storage with chain of custody tracking
- SHA-256 hash verification for evidence integrity
- NTP-verified timestamps for all events
- Court-ready export packages with Bates numbering
- Multi-tenant practice management features
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use this Service.
Evidence integrity
Family Evidence is designed to maintain chain of custody and evidence integrity for court admissibility.
- All uploaded files are immediately hashed using SHA-256 algorithms
- Timestamps are derived from NTP (Network Time Protocol) servers, not client devices
- Audit logs are immutable and retained for a minimum of 7 years
- You are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of evidence you upload
- We do not modify, edit, or enhance evidence files in any way
Subscription and payment
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Data ownership
- Your data: you retain all rights to data you upload to the Service.
- Data export: you may export your data at any time in standard formats.
- Account termination: upon termination, we will provide 30 days to export your data.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Family Evidence is a tool to assist with evidence management. Final decisions about evidence admissibility are made by courts. We make no guarantees about legal outcomes.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
